LIKE: A Documentary About the Impact of Social Media on Our Lives - A Free Movie and Community Event
LIKE is an hour long film and will be followed with discussion and comments led by mental health advocates. The intended audience is middle school, high school, young adults, and parents. One Pill Can Kill
Join us on Wednesday, Jan 31st at the Lobby Coffee Shop in Comfort for “One Pill Can Kill.” This FREE community program will feature former DEA Special Agent Rick Goodrich who will discuss the dangers of Fentanyl, how it is made, distributed, sold, and how to avoid fake pills and other products which may be laced with fentanyl or other dangerous drugs.

Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week® (October 23-31), the oldest and largest drug prevention campaign in the nation, is your opportunity to get the ongoing conversation started.

Human Trafficking Awareness
Human trafficking involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act. Every year, millions of men, women, and children are trafficked worldwide – including right here in the United States. In fact, Texas has the second most trafficking cases in the U.S. It can happen in any community and victims can be any age, race, gender, or nationality. This important community event will provide education on the issue of human trafficking and what you can do to protect all residents of Comfort.

Positive Parenting is open to anyone who cares about our community’s school kids. During this important event, you will learn about the challenges of parenting in a digital world and proven-effective strategies to keeping kids safe.

Texas Association of Addiction Professionals State Conference
The Texas Association of Addiction Professionals represents the interests of prevention specialists, addiction counselors, recovery support specialists, and all those who serve individuals, families and communities impacted by substance abuse. Through networking, advocacy, support, and education TAAP works on behalf of all addiction professionals.
